Football Recap: Buford Piles Up the Points Against Benedictine

Buford barely beat Benedictine the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolves breezed past the Cadets to the tune of 42-14 on Friday. The Wolves pushed the score to 42-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cadets cut but never quite recovered from.

Buford got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan McCoy out in front who rushed for 79 yards and one score on only ten carries. Those 79 rushing yards gave McCoy a new career-high.

Buford has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 31.0 points this season. As for Benedictine, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Buford will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Roswell at 7:30 p.m. on September 5. As for Benedictine, they will challenge Burke County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
