Volleyball Recap: Millennium Beats Valley Vista for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Millennium entered their tilt with Valley Vista on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Monsoon. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-10, 25-17.

Leading Millennium to victory were Charles Vang and Zach Gillum. Vang had six digs and four aces, while Gillum had ten assists. That's the most assists Gillum has posted since back in March. Ricky Wu also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Millennium was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valley Vista only served two aces.

Millennium's record now sits at 18-11. As for Valley Vista, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Millennium didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Casteel on the 24th. As for Valley Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Shadow Ridge on the 25th.
