Baseball Game Preview: Wantagh Warriors vs. Seaford Vikings

For the second straight game, Wantagh will face off against Seaford. The Warriors will take on the Vikings at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Wantagh 2, Seaford 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Wantagh is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over Seaford. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Christian Danzilo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Wantagh's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Frank McNally, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits McNally has posted since back in April. Another was Tom Wunderlich, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Seaford moved to 3-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Wantagh, their victory bumped their record up to 22-4.
