Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shelby). They put the hurt on the Pleasant Spartans with a sharp 23-0 victory on Monday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Shelby considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Their offense was hitting Pleasant from everywhere, as 13 different players booted in a goal. Reece Friend led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

Shelby now has a winning record of 7-6-2. As for Pleasant, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

The future could be bright for both Shelby and Pleasant: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Whippets will look to extend Marion Harding's three-game losing streak when they meet at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pleasant will try to hand Highland their sixth-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
