Softball Recap: Russellville Indians vs. New Bloomfield Wildcats
After flying high against Cuba last Wednesday, Russellville came back down to earth. The Russellville Indians took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Bloomfield Wildcats on Thursday. While the Indians didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 0-0 in the first period.
Russellville's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6. As for New Bloomfield, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-8.
Russellville will play host again on Monday to welcome Iberia, where first pitch is scheduled at 5:00 p.m. As for New Bloomfield, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-4 defeat against Capital City on the 4th.
