Softball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Northern Potter

Northern Potter had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Galeton Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 28-0 back in March.

Northern Potter's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Galeton, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Northern Potter didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Port Allegany on the 12th. As for Galeton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Cameron County on the 14th.
