Volleyball Recap: Centaurus Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Centaurus was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Fairview last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors fell just short of the Broomfield Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Centaurus actually scored more points across those five sets (111-110), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-23, 28-30, 25-22, 15-11.

Bri Deiley paced Centaurus' offense, picking up 24 kills. Deiley got some help from Mila Weinstein and her 49 assists. Finally, Deiley was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

The defeat snapped Centaurus' winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 11-7 record. As for Broomfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season.

Centaurus didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Monarch on the 30th. As for Broomfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Longmont on the 30th.
