Basketball Recap: Searsport Comes Up Short

Searsport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 56-17 loss at the hands of the Jonesport-Beals Royals. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-21 two weeks ago.

Searsport's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Jonesport-Beals, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.

Searsport will take on Lee Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jonesport-Beals has already played their next game (against Deer Isle-Stonington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
