Vale put their dominant defense on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Nyssa Bulldogs a 49-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won five games by 22 points or more so far this season.

Vale found their leader in sophomore Cal Johnson, who rushed for 63 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries, and also threw for 166 yards and one TD while completing 85.7% of his passes. Thomas Rodriguez was another key player, gaining 39 total yards.
