Volleyball Recap: Liberty Starts Season with Win at Home + How To Watch

Liberty took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Monday. They won by a set and slipped past the Eastern View Cyclones 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Cyclones: they've now won four in a row.

Liberty was led to victory by Savannah Perkins and Mackenzie Dodd. Perkins had 34 digs and four aces, while Dodd had 20 digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Beck, who had 18 digs.

They weren't the only good server: Liberty was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eastern View only served eight aces.

Eastern View now has a losing record of 1-2.

Liberty has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Warren County on the 26th. As for Eastern View, they will challenge Charlottesville at 7:00 p.m. on September 2.
