Softball Game Preview: Brownsboro Bears vs. Canton Eagles

Brownsboro hasn't had much luck against Canton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bears will look to defend their home field against the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Neither Brownsboro nor Canton posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Brownsboro managed to slip by Athens the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bears might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the Hornets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. Canton fell 7-2 to Lindale.

Canton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addy Henderson, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Canton's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-12. As for Brownsboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
