Basketball Recap: West Las Vegas Takes a Loss

West Las Vegas lost against Artesia back in January of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The West Las Vegas Dons took a blow against the Artesia Bulldogs, falling 79-47. The game marked the Dons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

West Las Vegas' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5. As for Artesia, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

West Las Vegas will be playing in front of their home fans against Santa Fe Indian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Artesia, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against St. Pius X at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Artesia knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully St. Pius X likes a good challenge.
