Recap: Liberty County Bulldogs vs. Sneads Pirates

The Liberty County Bulldogs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 53-42 win over Sneads. Given Liberty County's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Sneads is ranked 479th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Liberty County had a senior duo take command as Gabriella Flowers scored 19 points and Caleigh Peddie scored 18 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Flowers has scored at least 25% of Liberty County's points. Another player making a difference was Madison Walker, who scored 8 points.

Despite the defeat, Sneads saw an underclassman step up: Carrington Scott scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Bellamy, who scored 9 points.

Liberty County's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Sneads, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty County will challenge Blountstown at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Blountstown will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Sneads, they will head out on the road to face off against Cottondale at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
