Softball Recap: Grayslake North Comes Up Short

Grayslake North came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 22-9 to the Lakes Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Knights have suffered against the Eagles since May 24, 2022.

Alyson Alvarenga made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three runs.

Grayslake North has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season. As for Lakes, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Looking ahead, Grayslake North will face off against Carmel at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Corsairs have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Lakes, they will be playing at home against Round Lake at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
