Basketball Recap: Page Comes Up Short

Page was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Seton Catholic Sentinels and fell 93-45.

When it comes to explaining why Page lost, don't look at Joseph Benally. Despite the final result, he shot 45% from the field on his way to 23 points. The matchup was Benally's third in a row with at least 17 points. Chance Gazar-Wallace was another key player, putting up four points and six boards.

Kj Fauske continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Seton Catholic, going 9-for-15 to rack up 26 points and five steals. Those five steals gave Fauske a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Henry Miller, who shot 73% from the field en route to 20 points.

Page's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Seton Catholic, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Page will venture away from home to square off against Kanab at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seton Catholic, they will head out to challenge Gilbert Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Sentinels' defense better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 70 points per game this season.
