Basketball Recap: Okeechobee Takes a Loss

Okeechobee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 90-40 loss at the hands of the Central Cobras. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Brahmans of the 88-43 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Despite the loss, Okeechobee saw an underclassman step up: freshman Juan Rosales shot 55% from the field en route to 15 points. Thanks to that strong game, Rosales now owns an excellent 46.2% shooting accuracy.

Okeechobee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Central, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Okeechobee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 84-40 loss against South Fork on the 16th. As for Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 83-71 defeat against Martin County on the 16th.
