Basketball Recap: South Philadelphia Comes Up Short

South Philadelphia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 51-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sayre Sabres. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 56-39 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

South Philadelphia's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Sayre, their win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-12.

South Philadelphia will welcome Roxborough at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Roxborough will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something South Philadelphia surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sayre, they will venture away from home to challenge Parkway Center City at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
