Football Recap: Countryside Christian Takes a Loss

Countryside Christian extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They took a hard 20-6 fall against the Bradenton Christian Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, the Minutemen couldn't push the score so high this time.

Easton Watson threw for 81 yards and one TD. Landon Law was his top target, picking up 71 receiving yards.

As for Bradenton Christian, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The victory was all the more spectacular given their disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 249th, while Countryside Christian is ranked 14th).

A big part of Bradenton Christian's win came down to the chemistry between Holland Hume and his top target Connor Henderson. Hume threw for 130 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Henderson picked up 91 receiving yards and two scores.

Countryside Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 40-14 victory against First Coast Christian on the 26th. As for Bradenton Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 42-6 win against The Classical Academy of Sarasota on the 26th.
