DeSales had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 12-13 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Eastern Eagles by a score of 6-3. For the Colts, this counts as revenge for the 10-2 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

As for Eastern, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-11 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

For Eastern's part, Trevor Dugan was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. Dugan has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Carson Shee was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DeSales will host Butler at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Colts are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Eastern, they will be playing at home against Central Hardin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
