Basketball Recap: Sterling City Takes a Loss

Sterling City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 58-39 bruising from the Christoval Cougars. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-45 back in December of 2024.

Sterling City's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Christoval, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-10.

Sterling City is taking a road trip to square off against Sonora at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sonora will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Sterling City surely won't give up without a fight. As for Christoval, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Reagan County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
