             On Saturday, Byers faced Elbert in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Byers Bulldogs breezed by the Elbert Bulldogs on the road  to the tune of  58-8. Fans of Byers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+  points.
 It was another big night for  Kaleb Willoughby, who rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns.  Gabe Price also helped with two touchdowns in total.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Byers was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 215  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 215  rushing yards in four consecutive  matchups.
 Byers wouldn't let Elbert keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as  Garett Crecelius,  Aj Engle,  and  Cameron Eastwood picked up one apiece.
 Byers' win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Elbert,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 4-3 record.
 Byers will welcome Calhan  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in Byers' favor is that they have posted at least 31  points  every time they've taken the field this season. As for Elbert, they will venture away from home to  take on Simla  at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Elbert is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 29.3  points per game  this season.
