Basketball Game Preview: Benilde-St. Margaret's Red Knights vs. Chaska Hawks

Benilde-St. Margaret is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Chaska is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Benilde-St. Margaret's Red Knights will host the Chaska Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Benilde-St. Margaret's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 18 matchups.

Benilde-St. Margaret's is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Minnesota's top teams: Alexandria, who was ranked 17th at the time (Benilde-St. Margaret's was ranked 14th). Benilde-St. Margaret's put the hurt on Alexandria with a sharp 79-53 victory on Saturday. The Red Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chaska). They breezed by St. Louis Park to the tune of 83-30 on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Hawks with their most commanding win of the season.

Benilde-St. Margaret's has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.8 points. As for Chaska, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-8.
