Basketball Game Preview: Loraine Bulldogs vs. Roby Lions

Loraine is 0-4 against Roby since January of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Loraine Bulldogs will square off against the Roby Lions at 7:30 p.m.

Last Friday, Loraine was beaten by Ira 81-45. While losing is never fun, Loraine can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1673rd, while Ira is ranked 737th).

Meanwhile, Roby made easy work of Highland on Friday and carried off a 49-25 victory. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Roby is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points per game. As for Loraine, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.

Loraine was taken down by Roby 61-34 when the teams last played on January 3rd. Can Loraine avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
