Softball Recap: Sunset Apollos vs. Tigard Tigers
In what's become a running theme this season, Sunset gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Tigard Tigers as the Sunset Apollos made off with a 12-5 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Sunset as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
The team relied heavily on Mia Kodachi, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Lily Swenson, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Sunset's win bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Tigard, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-11 record this season.
As of now, neither Sunset nor Tigard have any future games scheduled.
