Basketball Recap: Allie Dickinson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Glens Falls over Broadalbin-Perth

Glens Falls lost against Broadalbin-Perth back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Glens Falls Black Bears took a hard 56-38 fall against the Broadalbin-Perth Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Black Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 204th, while the Patriots are ranked 38th).

Glens Falls' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Allie Dickinson, who posted ten points. Holly Hirsch was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Glens Falls' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6. As for Broadalbin-Perth, their victory bumped their record up to 13-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glens Falls has already played their next contest (against Gloversville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Broadalbin-Perth will square off against Amsterdam at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
