            Baseball Recap: Hoehne Farmers vs. Las Animas Trojans        
        
		
        
        
            Hoehne extended their losing streak  to six  on Monday, dropping their season record down to 4-13 in the process. They lost  11-0 to the Las Animas Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  8-2  back in March.
As for Las Animas, the  win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six  runs or more this season.
For Las Animas' part,  Braydon Ortiz made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Ortiz has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news, Las Animas got a  massive  performance out of  Logan Servaes, who  went 3-for-4 with five  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run. Those  five  RBI gave  Servaes a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Damien Baca, who  went 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI.
 Hoehne didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  13-3  loss against Swink on the 24th. As for Las Animas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  matchup,  a  20-0  victory against Florence on the 22nd.
