Atta Garnett and Lauren Bear secure win for Tri-West Hendricks

Recap: Tri-West Hendricks Bruins vs. Indianapolis Arsenal Technical Titans

The Tri-West Hendricks Bruins can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They put the hurt on Indianapolis Arsenal Technical with a sharp 64-40 victory. Given Tri-West Hendricks' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while Indianapolis Arsenal Technical is ranked 345th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Tri-West Hendricks to victory were Atta Garnett and Lauren Bear. Garnett dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, while Bear scored 20 points along with four steals. Bear is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniyah Anthony, who scored ten points along with two steals.

Despite the loss, Indianapolis Arsenal Technical still got an impressive performance from Kayla Lacombe, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That was a full 60% of Indianapolis Arsenal Technical's points, marking the 20th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was ALILYONA McKELLER, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.

Tri-West Hendricks' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-9. As for Indianapolis Arsenal Technical, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-13.

Tri-West Hendricks will take on Indianapolis Bishop Chatard at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Indianapolis Bishop Chatard focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday. Indianapolis Arsenal Technical will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Park Tudor at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
