The stars were shining brightly for Sebastian River in a 47-32 win over St. Edward's on Friday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Sebastian River has managed all season.
Sebastian River's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amarion Smith, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Andrew Simpson was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Sebastian River's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for St. Edward's, they have fallen quite a ways from their 16-6 record last season and are now at 3-6.
Sebastian River will head out on the road to face off against Jensen Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Jensen Beach focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. St. Edward's will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Synergy Magnet K12 at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
