Baseball Recap: Klamath Union Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Klamath Union took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Crook County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Klamath Union sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over Crook County on Thursday. This was payback for the Pelicans, who suffered a 13-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Ryan Glidden was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Donovan Jones, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

The win was the fourth in a row for Klamath Union, bringing their record up to 5-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 4.75 runs across that stretch. As for Crook County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Klamath Union will welcome Henley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crook County, they will host Philomath at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
