Softball Recap: Northview Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Northview's offense. They fell 5-0 to the West Vigo Vikings on Tuesday. The loss was just more heartbreak for the Knights, who fell 12-10 when the teams last met back in May of 2024.

Maggie Krause spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Northview saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jillian Abu-Seir, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Northview's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for West Vigo, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-10.

Northview has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Terre Haute North Vigo on the 20th. As for West Vigo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-6 defeat against Vincennes Lincoln on the 20th.
