A big part of Creekview's win came down to the chemistry between Cason Garcia and his top target Dre Richardson. Garcia threw for 222 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes while Richardson gained 111 total yards and two touchdowns. Richardson also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making nine total tackles and defending a pass.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Creekview's defense and their 3.5 sacks. Chidindu Eke was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up twohimself.
Meanwhile, White has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 14 points allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They took a blow against West Mesquite, falling 41-0. The Longhorns were red-hot offensively headed into the game (they scored no less than 31 points in the four matches prior) but the Wranglers' defense proved too tough.
Creekview pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for White, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-1 record.
