It was a good run, but Coweta unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Collinsville Cardinals. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Mason Iott was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Josh McDermott made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Coweta's defeat dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Collinsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

While Coweta had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
