Volleyball Recap: Ottawa Comes Up Short

Ottawa was the 3-2 winner over Tonganoxie when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Cyclones fell 2-0 to the Chieftains on Saturday. The Cyclones have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-21.

Becca Meyer paced Ottawa's offense, picking up eight kills. Meyer got some help from Leah Askins-Dieterich and her 17 assists.

Ottawa's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Tonganoxie, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8-1.

Ottawa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Junction City on the 27th. As for Tonganoxie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Eudora on the 27th.
