Volleyball Recap: Chaminade Comes Up Short

Chaminade was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bishop Manogue Miners.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Chaminade sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-27, 25-18.

Sofia Jaferian was the offensive standout of the match as she had seven digs and two aces. What's more, she posted three assists, the most she's had over her last three contests.

Chaminade's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Bishop Manogue, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6.

Chaminade wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Bishop Alemany on the 23rd. As for Bishop Manogue, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Damonte Ranch on the 23rd.
