Volleyball Recap: Hebron Gets the Win

Hebron's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the North Newton Spartans. The win continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won five in a row.

While Hebron might've won, it sure wasn't easy: North Newton scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 14-25, 25-19, 25-21.

Abby Hansen was the offensive standout of the game as she had 25 assists and 15 digs. Those 15 digs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rayghan Baker, who had 13 digs and two aces.

Hebron's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for North Newton, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hebron will challenge Lake Station Edison at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Newton, they will take on Faith Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
