Baseball Recap: Century Comes Up Short

After flying high against Faribault on Friday, Century came back down to earth. The Panthers fell 7-4 to the New Prague Trojans on Saturday. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 13-10 to the Trojans when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Century has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for New Prague, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.

Century does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Prague, they will challenge Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
