Baseball Recap: Chaparral Comes Up Short

Chaparral fell victim to Eldorado and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 18-0 to the Eldorado Firehawks. The Cowboys haven't had much luck with the Firehawks recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Chaparral's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Eldorado, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Chaparral will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mojave at 3:00 p.m. on March 24th. As for Eldorado, they will venture away from home to take on Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Valley has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17 runs per game on average), something Eldorado will no doubt try to take advantage of.
