Moundridge is 9-1 against Ell-Saline since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Moundridge Wildcats just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Ell-Saline Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Moundridge has three straight wins, Ell-Saline has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Monday, Moundridge strolled past Bennington with points to spare, taking the game 49-35. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 61st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Ell-Saline played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 56-22 loss at the hands of Classical. The Cardinals were down 50-15 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Ell-Saline's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Moundridge, their victory bumped their record up to 14-2.

Everything came up roses for Moundridge against Ell-Saline in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 53-26 win. Does Moundridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ell-Saline turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
