Football Recap: Joliet West Has No Trouble Against Bolingbrook

Joliet West never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Bolingbrook on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 32-6 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Tigers' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Despite the loss, Bolingbrook saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jillian Eliza Gyambrah rushed for 91 yards and one TD.

Joliet West has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Bolingbrook, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Joliet West is set to take on their familiar foe Downers Grove North at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Bolingbrook will face off against rival Oswego East at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Raiders 14.2, the Wolves 6.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
