Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jacob Read and Daxton Chipp Lead Davinci Academy to Victory

DaVinci Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They snuck past the Paradigm Patriots with a 58-53 victory.

Leading DaVinci Academy to victory were Daxton Chipp and Jacob Read. Chipp went 11 for 24 en route to 30 points in addition to six boards and three steals, while Read went 6 of 12 on his way to 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Read's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

DaVinci Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive matchups.

DaVinci Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

DaVinci Academy has already played their next game (against Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Paradigm will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on DaVinci Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 12th.
