Hayden Pope put up the most runs he's had since back in March on Thursday. He scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-1. He has become a key player for New Brockton: the team is 7-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-9 otherwise.

Pope's strong effort led New Brockton over Pike County and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Gamecocks are a perfect 10-0 against the Bulldogs going back to February of 2017, a lead they'll look to extend.
