Baseball Recap: Mission Valley Takes a Loss

Mission Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Burlington on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 on Thursday.

Mission Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Christiansen, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Mission Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-2-2. As for Burlington, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-5.

Coming up, Mission Valley will be playing at home against Lebo on Monday. As for Burlington, they will head out on the road to challenge Prairie View at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
