Baseball Game Preview: Erie Red Devils vs. Girard Trojans

The Erie Red Devils will venture away from home to square off against the Girard Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Erie's hitters haven't had much luck over their past six matches, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Erie's offense. They came up short against Humboldt two weeks ago, falling 9-0.

Erie saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyler Yackle, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Those stolen bases were Yackle's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Girard got themselves on the board against Parsons on Monday, but Parsons never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 6-0 victory. The Trojans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Girard's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3-1. As for Erie, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
