Baseball Recap: Richmond Gets the Win

Richmond won the last time they faced Marion and things went their way on Saturday too. The Red Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Giants. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Devils.

Wyatt Kier was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

Richmond now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Marion, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Richmond didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-0 victory against Muncie Central on the 15th. As for Marion, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-2 loss against Norwell on the 14th.
