Basketball Game Preview: Hebron Hawks vs. Marcus Marauders

The Hebron Hawks will head out on the road to challenge the Marcus Marauders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Hebron is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They skirted past Coppell 83-81. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Meanwhile, Marcus beat Lewisville 75-67 on Tuesday. Given the Marauders' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Farmers are ranked 422nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hebron has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Marcus, their win bumped their record up to 18-7.

Things could have been worse for Hebron, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 68-51 loss to Marcus when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Hebron avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
