Holt had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 58-22 win over the Fort Zumwalt East Lions. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-12.

Holt's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophia Lewis, who posted 15 points along with five boards and three steals. Aniyah Barnett was another key player, putting up 12 points and four steals.

Coming up, Holt will challenge North Point at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Zumwalt East, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Howell North at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
