Baseball Game Preview: Mainland Buccaneers vs. Pine Ridge Panthers

Mainland hasn't had much luck against Pine Ridge recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Buccaneers are taking a road trip to square off against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Mainland has given up an average of 10.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mainland came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Father Lopez, falling 11-1.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Pine Ridge's offense. They lost 6-0 to Umatilla on Thursday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Pine Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Mainland, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Mainland couldn't quite get it done against Pine Ridge when the teams last played last Thursday as they fell 9-5. Can the Buccaneers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
