Baseball Recap: Owosso Find Success

Owosso took a eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Clio, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trojans narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Mustangs 7-6. While the Trojans didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-18-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The team relied heavily on Eden Ackley, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last nine times he's played. Carson Moore was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Owosso's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Clio, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.
