Softball Recap: Wayland Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

There's no place like home for Wayland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past the South Christian Sailors 12-2 on Wednesday. Considering the Wildcats have won four matches by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Wayland's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for South Christian, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-3.

Wayland will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Sailors: the pair will be back at it again later today.
