Soccer Recap: Hopewell Takes a Loss

After soaring to 16 goals the game before, Hopewell was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They lost 9-1 to the Beaver Bobcats. While losing is never fun, Hopewell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while Beaver are ranked 125th).

Hopewell's goal came courtesy of Nykyeron Leonora, who's now up to four this season.

With the loss, Hopewell broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 6-6. As for Beaver, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Hopewell didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Central Valley on the 2nd. As for Beaver, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-0 win against Ellwood City on the 2nd.
